While the evenings are yours to explore all the restaurants, night markets and river spots the area has in abundance, the days are taken care of by us, so you can relax knowing that everything is in hand and organised.
The Ardèche is France’s premier adventure destination and the river is amongst the most beautiful natural wonders the world has to offer. Often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Europe!
Our expert guides will lead you as you canoe 30km downstream, accompanied by the calls of eagles and geckos. A riverside picnic lunch will provide plenty of sustenance, while rock jumps will cool you down from that roaring French sun. About halfway down the river, we’ll pull our boats into a campsite and set up for the night, with a big barbecue and vats of hot chocolate getting you ready to sleep beneath a blanket of stars - a truly magical, unforgettable experience for all the family.
Day Two of the river has even more rapids, rock jumps and beaches for you to enjoy – and you should be expert canoers by then!
A high-ropes course up in the mountains will see you sail through the tree tops, while our canyoning run entails climbing, squeezing and leaping through narrow gorges and sliding down waterfalls. There will also be a trip to a stunning showcave, as well as a visit to Grotte Chauvet, a UNESCO world heritage site displaying some of the earliest signs of human life in Europe.
